Season & time: Start early in summer; spring and autumn are ideal. Check weather and fire restrictions.
Footwear: Sturdy shoes with grip. River walks may require water shoes.
Water & sun: 1.5–2 L per person, hat, sunscreen; limited shade on ridges.
Navigation: Waymarking varies — download a GPX or offline map. Mobile signal may be patchy.
Respect nature: Pack out all waste, keep to paths, no open fires. Swimming only where safe and permitted.
Parking: Popular trailheads fill up on weekends/holidays — arrive early.
